The reserve is fully self-catering with no supplies available on site. Facilities include ablutions with hot and cold water, braai facilities, a scullery, water points close to sites, family bathrooms, and tent erection assistance. Dogs are allowed. Fishing is allowed, though no boats are permitted. Safari tents run on solar power.
The reserve sits on a plateau between two gorges in the Waterberg mountain range, Limpopo, 3 hours from Johannesburg and 2.5 hours from Pretoria, halfway to Botswana. Activities include self-drive game viewing, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, picnicking, and cooling off in natural springs.
