DRIVING From Plettenberg Bay (Nearest Airports in Plettenberg Bay and George, car hire must be arranged beforehand) 20 minutes from Plettenberg Bay is the nearest town to Tenikwa. Drive approximately 20 km from Plettenberg Bay towards Port Elizabeth on the N2 National Highway. Look out for a big Tourism Signboard that says “Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Elephant Sanctuary, Tenikwa” Turn right at the Kurland Village Turnoff which is opposite this sign Continue on this district road (Forest Hall Rd) and keep left when the road forks. ( If you go down Animal Alley, you’ve gone the wrong way. Turn around and at the T-junction, turn right.). There is a Tenikwa Signpost with a white arrow showing you to keep left. You will pass a little Stone Church on your right. You will pass Kurland Village on the left hand side and the soccer fields on the right hand side. The road will become a gravel road. Where the road forks, take the right hand fork. (Signposted) Approximately 900m further along the Forest Hall Road, you will see the Tenikwa sign post on the right hand side and turn right here to get to our reception. (Gravel road approximately 1.2km only) DRIVING From Port Elizabeth (Airport in Port Elizabeth, car hire is available at the airport) 2.5 Hours from Port Elizabeth (240km) Drive approximately 2 hours from Port Elizabeth on the N2 National Highway, passing Humansdorp, Jeffreys Bay and Storms River in the direction of George/Cape Town. Continue along the N2 and drive through the N2 Toll. Approximately 20kms, once you have passed through the Toll, look out for the R102 to Natures Valley. Drive pass this turnoff, and take the next turnoff to the left, which is signposted as Kurland Village. (Tenikwa is signposted on the N2 for this turnoff) Continue on this district road (Forest Hall Rd) and keep left when the road forks. ( If you go down Animal Alley, you’ve gone the wrong way. Turn around and at the T-junction, turn right.). There is a Tenikwa Signpost with a white arrow showing you to keep left. You will pass a little Stone Church on your right. From Plettenberg Bay, follow the directions above.
