The lodge accommodates up to 28 guests across two Luxury King Suites, two Luxury King and Twin Suites, and 10 Luxury Safari Tents. Suites feature king-size beds convertible to twins, en-suite bathrooms with spa baths, fireplaces, air-conditioning, underfloor heating, bar fridges, private wooden decks, and outdoor showers. Safari Tents include king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, minibars, wood-burning fireplaces, open-plan lounges, and viewing decks.
Rates include accommodation, meals, selected house beverages, and two game drives daily. The Bukela Spa offers massages, scrubs, and facials using Healing Earth products, with advance booking required. Additional activities include night drives, guided bush walks, bird watching, archery, and star gazing. Wi-Fi, coffee and tea facilities, and hairdryers are provided in all rooms.
Bukela sits on the Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, on rolling hills approximately 95 kilometres from Gqeberha. The 7,500-hectare malaria-free conservancy is home to lions, cheetahs, black and white rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo roaming freely. The reserve has over 25 years of conservation history, including ecosystem restoration and endangered species protection.
